Rental Payment Assistance, Small Business Grants, City Budget & More!


Attention Residential Landlords! Rental Payment Assistance for Tenants Who Can’t Pay Because of Coronavirus Public Health Orders or COVID-19 Infection

Monterey County and partners such as the City of Salinas and United Way Monterey County are now taking applications for an “Emergency Rental Assistance Program.” Although the tenant needs to apply, you are welcome to encourage your tenants to apply, and your cooperation in the process will be necessary. There will be seminars for landlords about eligibility and the application process. For more information, go to one of the following websites:

Grants Available for Small Businesses Affected by Coronavirus Public Health Orders

 
The City of Salinas has a Small Business Resource website and a (bilingual) hotline for small businesses that have lost customers and revenue because of coronavirus public health orders and seek financial assistance for relief and recovery.

Provide Your Opinion on City of Salinas Budget Priorities

The City of Salinas is doing extensive outreach and community engagement on budget priorities to determine if its current priorities remain relevant. There was also a Virtual Community Meeting on Budget Priorities on March 24, 2021 – watch the video HERE.
Residents, business owners, workers, and other interested persons are encouraged to fill out a survey about their budget concerns for the City of Salinas. Complete the survey HERE.
