November 12, 2020The Salinas City Center Improvement Association meets the 2nd Thursday of every month at 10am at CSUMB @ Salinas City Center. The meeting is open to the public and attendees are welcome to share their opinions and questions during the public forum portion of the agenda.

Virtual Lighting of the Tree For Peace

November 24, 2020On Tuesday, November 24th join us via Facebook Live for a virtual tree lighting experience that will kick off the 2020 holiday season.
We may not be able to gather in person for this year's tree lighting ceremony, as we have in the years past, but the Tree For Peace feels even more important this year so rest assure it will go up, it will be absolutely beautiful and we will celebrate it with everyone who wants to join us virtually.
Starting at 4:30pm we will take you with us as we walk up Main St. featuring 22 festive trees, all decorated by downtown merchants and graciously donated by Taylor Fresh Foods.
We will be arriving at The Tree For Peace around 5:45pm where Santa Claus will help us count down the lighting of the tree.
We really wish we could celebrate with everyone in person but we felt this was the best route this year. We hope you can join us from the safety and warmth of your home, maybe with a cup of hot cocoa in hand, to kick off the holiday season.
Please help us spread the word about this years virtual tree lighting.
We will see you on Facebook Live on November 24th at 4:30pm. The tree lighting will be around 5:45pm.

November 28, 2020If you come downtown for SHOP SMALL SATURDAY and the Salinas Farmers Market there is a good chance you will catch Santa Clause cruising Main St. with the Salinas Fire Department as well as Carolers entertaining downtown shoppers.
For health and safety reasons Santa will be wearing his mask and staying at least 6 feet away but he is so looking forward to seeing everyone and wishing you all a very Happy Holidays!
Be on the lookout for Santa from Noon to 1PM.
