Hosted by Salinas City Center, One Main Street, and the Salinas Chamber of Commerce, the evening marks the official start of the holiday season in Salinas. Families and neighbors are invited to gather as the Salinas Fire Department and Santa Claus light the city’s official Holiday Tree — a moment that never fails to inspire wonder and joy.

But the celebration doesn’t end there! The event continues inside One Main Street with:

🎨 Arts & crafts with the Arts Council for Monterey County and the Oasis Charter School
💃 Live performances from Salinas School of Dance and the Salinas High School Baile Folklorico Club
🎈 Festive entertainment including a balloon artist, and face painting
🎅 Photos with Santa

And here’s a sweet bonus — before you head to One Main Street, stop by Brewjee Coffee Company (16 E. Gabilan) or Starbucks Taylor Farms (Taylor Building) to enjoy a free hot chocolate between 3 PM and 5 PM. Sip, stroll, and soak in the seasonal atmosphere!
